Veto Mania!

"Mark Dayton on the other hand, has been co-opted by the 'system' for so long, he has become the system. He is now the poster boy for bloated, inefficient government."

Yes friends, it is once again Veto Mania! Brought to you live and in color by our own Veto Maniac, Governor Mark Dayton! What is he going to veto? Everything! There is not one bill he is happy about. Why? He is a statist. He is a progressive. He is a big government guy, only concerned with government largess. He is owned and paid for by special interest groups, in particular Education Minnesota.

By the way - before I get hate mail about the graphic I used in this article, it came from that right wing hit magazine called Mother Jones. Yes, it was from a very pro-Dayton article in a very leftist magazine.

In any event, the worst resource our state has right now is our government. The last missing piece (and a very important one) to fix our government mess lives in the Governor's mansion. To fix our confiscatory tax system, to fix (that is, eliminate) the Met Council, to repeal and replace (maybe) MNSure, we need a new Governor. One who "gets it".

I know from talking to local representatives, much hard work has gone into this session. Hard work, yielding positive results. Good bills, which will start to rightsize over sized parts of our state government.

Conservatives realize one thing - spending scads of money does not result in "better". In fact, many times less money, spent and managed prudently, leads to good, very good, and sometimes great. Mark Dayton on the other hand, has been co-opted by the "system" for so long, he has become the system. He is now the poster boy for bloated, inefficient government.

The session is winding down to its final days. The hard work the House and Senate have done has resulted in good bills which have been presented to the Governor to sign. Sometimes, a negotiation occurs where there is some "tweaking" which needs to be done around the edges. Not with this Governor. Nope. He wants to veto everything, and then blame the lawmakers for the failure. This is so very sad.

Here is what the Governor does not understand. Never has, never will. The representatives from the Minnesota House are the people of Minnesota. We have a representative democracy, and those people are our representatives. The people want change Governor Dayton - real change. Not posturing and tantrums on your part. We are so sick of this - we are so very over it.

Remember this folks as we roll into 2018. Mark Dayton is not running again (thank our lucky stars), but someone in his image will run on the DFL ticket. The Republicans will have a much better solution. The Republican bench is deep and wide right now, and many qualified people will be throwing their hats in the ring for Governor. One however, will rise above the rest. A fixer. A mechanic. Someone who will seal the deal for the citizens of this state.

If you have righteous indignation on how things are right now - that is good. Remember that feeling. If you are angry, you have every right to be. It is time to take back our state. It is time to fight for our rights. It is time to join the fight for better government. More, much more, on this shortly.
