It has been said many times by folks much smarter than I, the only thing which is a true check and balance to our government today is division. Not the math thing - division like divided government. Especially today, when there are so many ideologues running around on the Left side of the fence. Yes, I will say that. A true Constitutional conservative (who usually lives on the Right side of the fence) is not a danger to our Republic. However, a progressive ideologue sure is.

Bingo! The progressive ideologues then controlled the entire shooting match. The Republicans were left in the back seat with no power what-so-ever. The result of two years of total control? ObamaCare and Dodd-Frank for starters. Two of the biggest economy killers of all time.
Miss Nancy was in town yesterday. She was stumping for Angie Craig and Terri Bonhoff. I think Miss Nancy can smell blood in the water. She is ready to go back to the future. Grab that Speakers gavel and start swinging it! Once again (just like in 2008), the Democrats could be in charge of everything! Katy bar the door! It could be the evil triad of Hillary Clinton, Chuckle Schumer, and Nancy Pelosi. Tell me that one does not give one pause!
Here is the bottom line as I see it. Neither side has shown they know how to govern. The establishment Republicans have done NOTHING of substance during the past two years. Instead of stopping the Obama express, they have hopped on for the ride. And the Democrats? They think when they have total control, they can govern like an oligarchy. And they do.
Why will we lose this year? It is simple. And it has been this way for a long time. The Democrats will fight like dogs and cats until they select a torch bearer for the party. Then come hell or high water, they will support that person. Hello Bill Clinton!
Us on the other hand, continue to shoot our wounded and eat our young right up until election day. With 27 days to go, the hate and vitriol towards our torch bearer is just as strong coming from establishment Republicans as it is from the Democrats. This is a recipe for a historic defeat in November.
If we cannot hold on to the House (I think the Senate might be toast), the "foot will come off the brake". As we have seen from recent leaked emails, the long held supposition that the media is in bed with the Left is no longer a supposition - it is fact. So liberty lovers and Consitutionalists will have to fight the Executive Branch, the Legislative Branch, (and once Hillary stacks the court) the Judicial Branch, and the not-so-free media.
I hope I am wrong on this - I really do. But like many of us, I have seen this movie before. And I hate it.
