Kiss off 2020

Hydroxychloroquine, Azithromycin and Zinc. Some say this is no better at curing you than a placebo, while others say this is the fix, and the only reason we cannot get it endorsed right now, is because of Big Pharma.

The Wuhan virus has stolen many things from many people, but one there is one thing in common it has stolen from each of us. 2020. The entire year. When we get to December 31st of this year, and we start to reminisce on all the good things which have happened in 2020, it will be a short session. The virus has changed just about everything for everyone. Can we look forward to a better 2021? I sure hope so.

Will air travel resume in 2021? Because in 2020, travel by air is bleaker than bleak. As of last month, the daily screenings by TSA were still below 200,000 per day. That sounds like quite a few, until you compare it with what it was pre-COVID. Pre-COVID, daily TSA screenings could easily be 2.3 million or higher. What can bring the travelers back? First off, places to go. If you want to travel outside of the US right now, good luck. Many countries have rolled up their welcome mats for US travelers. And if you do travel inside the country right now, you need to wear a mask while in flight, and the very few amenities which travelers had before, are now gone.

How about going on a cruise, just to get away from it all. Good luck with that one. Most of the giant behemoth cruise ships, are tied up in port, bleeding cash. Past customers by the tens of thousands, are trying to get their money back from the cruise lines. After seeing the nightmare which occurred on the Diamond Princess earlier in the year, customers can't get away from cruise lines fast enough. Will the cruise industry be able to come back in 2021? Good question.

In stores, evidence remains that many of our supply chains are still knotted up. Your chances of finding a four leaf clover, are better than finding sanitary wipes - anywhere. Restaurants are still hurting, and it is estimated that 1/3 of them will shut down for good by 2021. The bar scene is spotty, and many large cities are blaming the bars for the latest spike in infections. Where can you get a good drink these days? For most of us, only at home, from our liquor cabinet.

Since we have been told that even though Project Warp Speed is cutting through all kinds of red tape to get us a vaccine by the end of the year, most medical experts are now saying it will more likely be very early in 2021. BUT - today, we have the BIG argument. The alleged prevention (and cure) of the cocktail consisting of Hydroxychloroquine, Azithromycin and Zinc. Some say this is no better at curing you than a placebo, while others say this is the fix, and the only reason we cannot get it endorsed right now, is because of "Big Pharma".

In any event, 2020 will be a year which will be remembered for a long time to come. As much as we will try to forget it, we probably will not be able to. Will anything good come out of this year? Maybe. A vaccine which we can use next year and beyond. Learning to treat each other like everyone has leprosy. Learning the value of taking supplements, and better eating to keep our immune system working as well as possible. Learning to be at home - A LOT. And of course, how to property wash our hands for twenty seconds. That is it. Over and out.
