Unchecked power and glory

"Election day is less than three months away. Hard to believe. I hold very little hope for this state. I am hopeful however, that the President is re-elected. If we end up with President Harris, we will really be in deep, deep weeds. So deep, I don't even want to imagine it."

Remember that old Lord Acton saying? "All power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely." Boy, do we have Exhibit "A" living in our Governor's mansion right now. Old "Rocks and Cows" just can't get over himself. He loves looking in the mirror, seeing that  aura of power emanate from his body. Sorry to tell you this Timmy - we are wise to your crap. And no, we don't see the same magnificent ruler, which you see, when you gaze in the mirror. We see a power hungry carpet bagger, who somehow hoodwinked the urban dolts to vote him into office.

How does if feel Timmy, to have Republicans in the Senate do a checkmate on you? First, no bonding bill, and now, no confirmation for your Labor and Industry Commissioner. What (Timmy thought), this is not a monarchy? For I am the ruler! No, the Senate Leader said - we have three equal parts in our government. And yes Timmy, the Senate does have some power. If you and the clown car in the House want to continue with this "peacetime emergency" BS, then we have some tricks up our sleeve also.

Truthfully Timmy, we have had it with you. We really have. As far as we are concerned, you can take your Mount Rushmore hating Lt. Governor, and hit the road. Go back to Nebraska. You really have done nothing for this state since you have been sworn in. Well, you did allow a huge section of Minneapolis to burn to the ground, while hiding in your basement. And, while South Dakota has prospered, your executive orders have put this state in the tank. How so? We have gone from a nice and tidy surplus as the start of the year, to an almost $5 billion deficit. All because you wanted to play power monger.

Here is the sad part of the story - and it is indeed sad. We are stuck with you, and whats her name, for another two years. And, because the Democrats have turned so many minions in the metro area into total takers, the Democrats will probably control the House for another two years. If the Republicans were not holding the Senate, the state would be lost. Taxing Timmy and the socialists would leave this state looking like Georgia, after General Sherman's March to the Sea.

For you newcomers to the area, please believe me when I say that Minnesota once was a great place to live. We were proud to live here. Minneapolis was a great city. Low crime, and safe to visit, day or night. The Democrats have turned this state into a high taxed, frozen wasteland. Minneapolis is now a war zone. What has not been burnt to the ground, is no longer safe to visit. What is Taxing Timmy's response to this? Blames the President and our Senate Republicans. The real truth is this - Timmy's assumed Midas Touch does not yield gold, nor any thing good - every thing he touches turns into effluent.

Election day is less than three months away. Hard to believe. I hold very little hope for this state. I am hopeful however, that the President is re-elected. If we end up with President Harris, we will really be in deep, deep weeds. So deep, I don't even want to imagine it.
