As far as the East is from the West...

"Hillary on the other hand - depends on which way the wind is blowing."

Okay - I will say it. No I won't. Bernie is already saying it. We have two wings of the Democratic Party running against each other. One is a true Progressive (or Socialist), and the the other is a limo liberal. They are as much alike as oil and water. Sanders is a Samuel Gompers type of guy; Clinton is a Samuel Adams micro brew type of gal.

Some are thinking we are on the verge of having four major parties instead of two. There are times I think that might be correct. Truthfully in some issues, Hillary is closer to Trump than to Bernie. I mean Bernie is a hard core, take no prisoners type of socialist. He reminds me a bit of Paul Wellstone. Except for a very, very few times, Paul did not flip flop. He (like Bernie) was pretty true to his beliefs. Hillary on the other hand - well, it depends on which way the wind is blowing.

Please, please don't take this as an endorsement for Bernie. It is not. If only a fraction of his promised programs came to fruition, the country would slide over the financial cliff. But for some reason, many young people seem to love this guy. Maybe it is his honesty. Or, maybe it is that many young people today are so poorly educated, they have no clue how much trouble this country is in right now.

I also think Hillary's ability to use people really irks Bernie. She uses her Wall Street connections. She uses the Clinton Foundation. She uses connections that she and Bill made while in government to charge a zillion dollars in speaking fees. Whereas Bernie has a very modest portfolio, Hillary's looks like she is trying to emulate Bill Gates.

So yes, I do think Hillary and Bernie are about as far away from each other as the east is from the west. Hillary may give stump speeches that her programs are very close to Bernie's but her history says otherwise. Whereas Bernie is a true socialist, Hillary is a true capitalist. And a crony capitalist at that.
