Wolves in sheep clothing...

"Don't be fooled by posers folks! Check their records. Go on their websites. Look at their affiliations and endorsements." 

It happens every year. Smart pundits (on both sides of the political spectrum), discuss this every election cycle. Democrats dress up to look like moderates. Some even try to look conservative. On the other hand, you rarely (heavy on the rarely) ever see a conservative pretend to be a liberal when campaigning. Some temper themselves to look a bit moderate, but never liberal. This year, the number of "wolves in sheep clothing" (that be the Democrats trying to look like Republicans) is alarmingly high.

Don't be fooled by posers folks! Check their records. Go on their websites. Look at their affiliations and endorsements. The Democrats have made it no secret they would love to get the House and Senate back this year - for different reasons. If Hillary gets elected (God help us), the Senate becomes much more than just the "saucer to pour legislation on to cool it" (George Washington). If becomes ground zero for the approval and consent of Hillary SCOTUS nominees.

A few of us up here in the northern burbs have become fairly adept at ripping the mask off of posers. I have been chomping at the bit to get a door knocker or two from the other side of the political spectrum. Unfortunately, I think I have deprived myself of that honor by having scads of campaign signs all over my lot. That is really too bad, because I have a few questions I would love to ask.

Forgive me for bringing this up once again, but the irony is just way too delicious. The "cause celeb" the Democrats were going to run on in 2012, 2016 and beyond was the miracle of ObamaCare. This wonderful program, which no Republican supported, was going to shine like the torch of victory for the clear thinking Democrats who cobbled this thing together. And Minnesota's own MNSure? It was going to be the talk of the country!

Rather than shining like the torch of victory, ObamaCare and MNSure have become the millstones around Democrats necks. Not just in Washington, but also here at home. Now many Democrats are not just looking for six degrees of separation from this fiasco, but more like sixty degrees of separation. Too late. ObamaCare and MNSure are the twin babies of the Democrats which make Rosemary's Baby look like the Ivory Soap baby.

Just today, there was an article in the paper about our beloved MNSure. How after spending over $200M, this homegrown exchange is still a POS. It is slow and unreliable. "Oh, all we need is a bit more money to really get it working well!" BULL CRAP! Not another penny! And the Governor is pulling what little hair he has remaining out of his scalp trying to figure out a temporary "fix" for these 60% increased health premiums this next year. Sorry Governor. No more lipstick on this pig. No can do. No temporary fix. Repeal and replace. Or better yet, nullify. 

I do feel sorry for the Democrats this year. They have nothing to sell. Except lies that is. They can't hide behind the truth as that will expose how bad things really are.
