What if Disney World instead?

"Would a terrorist really try and storm the gates at Disney World and kill as many men, women and children as possible? In a heartbeat."

Omar Mir Seddique Mateen. All of a sudden, that name has become part of our lexicon. And I don't mean that in a good way. Now the questions are starting to swirl about him. Why did he visit that gay nightclub so many times before he acted? Was he gay and conflicted? Why did he go to Saudi Arabia twice in recent years? Why was he taken off the FBI watch list? Why was he put on in the first place? And the question I find the most interesting, was he also surveilling Disney world?

Would a terrorist really try and storm the gates at Disney World and kill as many men, women and children as possible? In a heartbeat. They have shown us overseas they have a total disregard for anyone's life. And also terrorists are starting to adapt. They could just as easily cause the same kind of carnage from outside the security gates of Disney World as inside. Just like they caused so much mayhem outside the security perimeter at the Brussels airport.

Today the President is going to visit Orlando. As Comforter in Chief, that is one of his duties. However, this will be a bus-man's holiday for him. He will also be on his stump pitching one of his pet projects - the disarming of America. What our President, as well as the other gun grabbers fail to realize is this one truth. If you have hate in your heart, if you really want to kill badly enough, guns don't matter. A gun is just one of a myriad of tools you can use to accomplish your objective.

As we go through time with our borders remaining porous, I worry more and more about the brazenness of future terror attacks. I can easily see an attack on an airport, a sporting event, a shopping center like the Mall of America, a school, a church, or even a family picnic.

One of my social media friends put an interesting post up yesterday. It said the only way to stop a terrorist: 1) buy a gun 2) learn how to use the gun 3) carry the gun with you at all times.

One more question is being asked more and more right now. Why did it take the SWAT team so long to get in? If they came in earlier, would the death toll have been less? Here is the bottom line. No police response in the world can arrive faster than your own personal protection. If this club had three bouncers and each of them were gun trained, this entire event might just have been nothing but a close call.

We need to stay vigilant. Terrorists are not going to hit us where we expect it or where we are the most prepared. They will hit us when are where we least expect it, trying to inflict the maximum amount of damage and/or death.
