And why the EPA?

"All they do at the EPA these days is regulate and cost everyone more money!"

Oh boy! In the middle of all this drama crap with the presidential campaigning, there was actually some good, solid business taking place on Capitol Hill. The topic was Flint water and the two star witnesses were Rick Snyder and Gina McCarthy. And Representative Jason Chaffetz of Utah was doing a lot of the grilling. It was great. It was the way Trey Gowdy used to be in his heyday.

The Congressman from Utah asked one very simple question that the queen bee of the EPA really stumbled over. And then he asked the second one which was the winner of the day. First he asked since the EPA was aware of the Flint water issue for over a year and did basically nothing, why nobody has been fired? She gave him a vacant stare when he asked that question. Then he sharpened the question just a bit and asked has anyone in the EPA been held accountable. Has anyone been fired? Nope. Nary a soul.

The Congressman now had smoke coming out of his ears. And that is when the $64,000 question rolled off his tongue. "Then why, Ms. McCarthy, do we even have an EPA?" Oh, bingo, bingo, bingo! That is the right question to ask! All they do at the EPA these days is regulate and cost everyone more money! They are a worthless organization. If it is Senator Cruz or Mr. Trump who gets sworn in next January, I think the EPA, Department of Education, Department of Energy and maybe some others will be long gone.

As sad and tragic as the water issue is for the people of flint, it really did strip the mask off of the EPA. It was an example live and in color of how worthless this organization really is. Today it employs a whopping 15,000 people and has a budget of over $8 billion. I know that is chump change in the scheme of things today, but it is a good start. We REALLY need somebody with the cahonas of Donald Trump or Ted Cruz to come into Washington with a meat cleaver and start cutting. The amount of our money D.C. spends these days is simply criminal.

This November, remember people like Gina McCarthy. She is not just part of the problem, she is the problem. Remember the EPA, and what a waste of space it is. And then remember the number $19 trillion and growing. Remember and vote for sanity.
