"Matthews has started to sober up from all the crap that was in the kool aide. He is starting to see Obama and the Clintons for what and who they are."
This morning before the house started to stir, I turned on the news. It seems like every day this summer there has been some kind of breaking news in the morning. Today however, most eyes are on the RNC National Convention in Cleveland. In fact, all the networks and miscellaneous news agencies are in that city on the lake to see if any news gets made. Even the Lefties at MSNBC are there. And that is were I picked up a very interesting news topic.
I flipped over to Morning Joe to see how they were going to cover the convention. They had some guest commentators who had ties to either MSNBC and/or NBC. One of the guests was Chris Matthews. Now at one time, I was kind of a fan of his. He was somewhat balanced, even though he cut his teeth on Democratic wood. He even filled in for Rush a time or two. Then he went off the deep end and really started to drink the kool-aide. I wrote him off and quit listening to him.
I have noticed something in the past year. Matthews has started to sober up from all the crap that was dumped in the kool aide. He is starting to see Obama and the Clintons for what and who they are. He is not totally cured as yet, but it appears he might be on the way to recovery.
Today he was talking about why Hillary's negatives are so high. They are only slightly better than Trump's negatives. Matthews said people out there are hurting - they don't want more of the same (gasp!). The jobs reports don't tell the real story. And the real story is our jobs are becoming (in his words), "hollowed out".
So what does that mean, "hollowed out"? As a veteran of many, many years of wood cutting, once in a while you cut into a tree which has been hollowed out due to disease or insects. It looked good on the outside, but the inside of the tree is garbage. That is the way our job market is today. Many of the "new jobs" that Obama is bragging about are just garbage. And the higher the minimum wage goes, the more automation comes into the picture.
I have been harping on this bull for years now. About the "new jobs" which are counted. It is not just the number of jobs created, it is also the type of jobs. The jobs lost and the new jobs created (for the most part) do not resemble each other. Not even close. This is why most young people today believe they will not have it as good as their parents have had it.
These are all things to remember in November. I know many are not excited about voting for Trump. For example, I was a signed and delivered Cruz guy. But we cannot have Hillary. And maybe the tables in Washington really do need to be kicked over. I am ready for it. We need real much better trade agreements. We need real Jobs. After the past couple of weeks, I think we all need real security, both internally and externally. And no more "hollowed out" jobs.
In November I will pull the lever for the one who can beat Hillary. Right now that is Donald Trump. Yes, I will vote for him, even though I have some doubts. Voting for Hillary however, is no doubt. She will be the worst President since Barrack Obama.
