Spittin' Mad (again)

"This was shades of the Pueblo all over again. Shades of the Pueblo with a bit of Benghazi thrown in for good measure."

As a retired Navy man, who served during the Reagan years and beyond, it saddens me to see what has happened to our great Navy. To see pictures of our two Navy boats, captured by the Iranians, with our young men and one woman on their knees with hands behind their heads, sickened me. And then to have the officer in charge, this young Navy Lieutenant, apologize to this bunch of thugs who captured them, almost made me throw up in my mouth.

And the cover story on how these two boats got to be where they were is as loose as the Benghazi cover story. Both boats broke down at once? Really? And then both "drifted" into Iranian waters? Please, I would rather take my chances in winning a Powerball than believe that pile of goo. Or another theory is both GPS units on both boats malfunctioned at the same time so they "accidentally" strayed into forbidden waters. Well, here is what I think. I think both boats were in international waters. And the Iranians illegally did a search and seizure of our boats.

Why would they do that? Probably for the same reason they mocked up a ship to look like the USS Nimitz and attacked it during the nuclear negotiations. Or the same reason their ships have fired a missile dangerously close to the USS Truman in the Gulf. Or the same reason they are test firing ICBM missiles in violation of treaty and agreement. They are poking a finger in our eye, once again. Mess with the paper tiger. Show the world the once great United States in nothing more than hot air and threats these days.

When the Iranians took our people hostage in the 1970's they were poking us in the eye back then also. They knew we would not nor could not do anything. They feared Jimmy Carter less than they feared catching a common cold. But this guy who just won the election, this former actor, there was something about him the Iranians found unsettling. They did not want to mess with this new guy. So right before President Reagan was sworn in, the hostages were released.

There have been many times as of late I have wondered if the Iranians have compromising pictures of John Kerry. I can think of no other reason why this nation, who is the world's largest sponsor of terror, can waltz us around the maypole over, and over, and over again. And then, after illegally detaining our boats and sailors, our SOS thanks this group of thugs! First the officer in charge apologizes to them, and our Secretary of State thanks them! And to put frosting on the cake, this is the week we are supposed to release over $100B of sanctioned monies to them!

My only comment to the Iranians is this - have your fun now. Come November, you will find out who the new sheriff in town will be. And come January, if you try any of the BS again, it is going to be a bad day in your backyard. That is, if we get a Republican in the White House. If we get another appeaser from the Democratic Party, I am afraid it will be more of the same.
